Notice of Race 2021
as published for the 11th Catamarans Cup
The Organising Authority is ISTION YACHTING. The event will be sailed in the waters of North Cyclades & Saronicos Gulf, Greece from 16th to 23rd October 2021.
1.1 The event will be governed by:
• The International Rules for Preventing Collisions at Sea Board
• The safety measures of each participating boat shall comply with all referred in her Certificate Of General Inspection
• This Notice of Race, the Sailing Instructions and their amendments.
In case of contradiction, the Sailing Instructions shall prevail.
1.2 No National Authority prescriptions will apply.
1.3 If there is a conflict between languages the English text will take precedence.
2.1 Boats may be required to display advertising and identification chosen and supplied by the Organizing Authority.
2.2 Boats bearing advertisement must carry the relative permission from the Organizing Authority. The advertisement logo must be submitted attached to the Race Entry form, until 09th October, 2021.
3. ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
3.2 Late entries will be accepted with the fee increased by 15%.
4. ENTRY FEE
To enter the 11th Catamarans Cup International each boat shall pay entry fee €620 by 09th October, 2021 via bank’s transfer or with credit card to company’s bank account.
i. Athens, ISTION Yachting base office in Alimos Marina, 16th October 2021, 10.00 - 19.00
ii. Athens, ISTION Yachting base office in Alimos Marina, 17th October 2021, 08.00 - 10.00
Sunday 17th to Wednesday 20th October 2021
5.3 The scheduled time of the start signal for the race each day is 11.00.
The rating for each boat has been calculated under MULTI 2000 Handicap System.
There will be only 1 class for all boats and this has been determined by the number of the entries.
7. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
The Sailing Instructions will be available upon registration.
Route Map shows the location of the Event harbours.
9. THE COURSES
The courses to be sailed will be as follows:
Alimos – Kea 35,00 nm
Kea – Kythnos 19,00 nm
Kythnos – Hydra 43,00 nm
Hydra – Poros 12,00 nm
The route may be modified subject to the weather conditions.
Details about the race courses and their exact distance will be provided in the Sailing Instructions.
10. PENALTY SYSTEM
For infringement of the priority rules the One-Turn Penalty will apply.
A boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores.
Prizes will be awarded to:
a. The 1st, 2nd & 3rd boat of each leg
b. The 1st, 2nd & 3rd boat in the final scoring

13. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
Competitors participate in the 11th Catamarans Cup International entirely at their own risk.
The responsibility for the Decision of a boat to participate in the Event or to continue to sail is exclusively hers.
The Organizing Authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the Event.
Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance while racing with a minimum cover of 1.000.000 Euro per case or the equivalent.
